Artist, Emmett Moore found inspiration in the 20th-century wartime model of home gardening to address the issues of food scarcity and rising food prices caused by the Covid pandemic and increasing inflation rates. This motivation led to the creation of a site-specific installation Victory Garden, which aims to engage the North Miami community in finding community-based solutions to these challenges. The installation utilizes repurposed steel drums as a channel to connect the community with food resources while activating MOCA's Paradise Courtyard.
The visual identity of Victory Garden draws from the aesthetics of old vintage posters used during wartime Victory Gardens, while also incorporating the artist's signature color scheme. This approach blends elements of the past with contemporary design, creating a cohesive and visually striking representation.
Along with the branding, I was also responsible for various design duties, such as outdoor signage and developing promotional materials for both digital and print media, among other tasks.
